This page answers the questions Canadian owners ask most before hiring a growth agency. If yours isn't here, call, text or email and ask it directly; you'll get a straight answer from a senior strategist. Below the questions are a few notes on how to judge any agency, us included.
Frequently asked questions
How much does GrowthAgency.ca cost?
Consulting is $175–$350 per hour, projects are $3,500–$25,000, and monthly retainers are $2,500–$12,000, in Canadian dollars. GST/HST is added by province (GST and QST in Quebec). There is also a performance-based Growth Partner Program, priced individually.
Is the first conversation really free?
Yes. The initial 30-minute consultation is free and carries no obligation. Its purpose is to understand your numbers and tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
Are we locked into a contract?
No lock-in. The proposal sets out notice terms, payment milestones and scope in writing before anything starts, so you know exactly how to stop or change the work.
How long before we see results?
Fixes to reply speed and follow-up can show up within weeks. Conversion tests take one to three months to read properly. Organic search and content usually take several months. The plan states the expected window for each fix.
We tried an agency before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?
Often the previous agency improved one stage, usually reach, while the real leak was elsewhere. We start by measuring all five stages against your own sales records, so you can see where the money went before you spend more.
Who owns the website, ad accounts and data?
Your business does. Websites, domains, ad accounts, analytics and CRM records are set up or kept in your name, with your logins. If we part ways, you keep everything.
Can you promise more leads or sales?
No. Promising results we don't control would be dishonest. We commit to a measured plan, clear targets for each fix and an honest monthly report on whether they moved.
How will we know if it's working?
Each month you receive a one-page scorecard with five funnel rates, cost per sale and gross profit, reconciled with your books. Every fix has a target metric agreed before it starts.
Do you work with businesses outside BC?
Yes. We work with owners in every province and territory, by video call or in person as well as by phone, text and email. We take regional rules seriously, such as French-language requirements in Quebec.
What size of business do you work with?
Mostly owner-led small and mid-sized businesses with steady customers and some existing marketing. Very early start-ups usually need validation work before a funnel exists to measure.
Do you do the work or just advise?
Both. You can hire us for strategy only, for a defined project, or for ongoing execution under a retainer. The proposal lists exactly who does each task.
Can you work with our current agency or staff?
Yes. Many clients keep an existing ad agency or in-house marketer. We often run the audit, testing and reporting while they keep running campaigns.
Is GrowthAgency.ca connected to Conv.ca?
Yes. Both are part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, and both were founded by Ali Sedighi. GrowthAgency.ca uses the Conv.ca conversion method across the whole funnel.
Questions about price and terms
Price is the first question for most owners, and it should be. Our ranges come from the group's published consulting prices, and the exact figure for your work is written into a proposal before anything starts. The pricing page shows the four models side by side, explains what moves the cost up or down, and includes a short calculation to test whether a retainer can pay for itself in your business.
Questions about results and timing
Results depend on which stage of your funnel is weakest. A slow reply time can be fixed within weeks; a new organic search presence takes months. We don't promise outcomes, but we do commit to a target for each fix and a fixed window to judge it. The results page shows measured outcomes from our HVAC work and explains which lessons carry over to other sectors.
How to judge any growth agency
Whether you hire us or someone else, these five questions separate a careful agency from a careless one:
- Will they measure before they spend? An agency that proposes a budget before asking for your close rate is guessing.
- Whose name is on the accounts? Your ad accounts, analytics and website should belong to your business.
- What will the report show? Ask for a sample. If it's mostly impressions and clicks, push for sales and cost per sale.
- Can they show live client work? Results should link to real, visitable sites.
- What happens when a test fails? A good answer involves a written log and a next hypothesis, not silence.
Questions about ownership and switching agencies
Owners who have been burned before usually ask the same thing: what happens to my website, ad accounts and data if this doesn't work out? Our answer is that everything is set up in your business's name from the first day. You hold the logins, you can see every change, and you can bring in another vendor at any time without rebuilding.
If you are switching from another agency, the first task is often recovering access. That can mean asking a former vendor to transfer an ad account, a domain or an analytics property. We help you list what to request and in what order, so nothing is lost in the handover.
Questions about reporting
Every engagement includes a monthly scorecard. It shows five funnel rates, cost per sale and gross profit, with last month and the same month last year beside them, plus a short note on what changed. We reconcile its sales figures with your accounting records each quarter. If you'd like to see the format before you call, the analytics and reporting page includes an example table.
Questions about fit
We are a good fit for owner-led businesses that already have customers, some marketing and a willingness to look at their own numbers. We are a poor fit for businesses that want a single tactic run without measurement, or that need legal, accounting or financial advice. In those cases, we'll say so in the first conversation and suggest where to go instead. The about page explains how we work in more detail.
Before you get in touch
Have rough monthly figures ready for visits, enquiries, sales and repeat customers. Even estimates help. The contact page lists what to include, and the services overview helps you guess which stage to discuss first. If you'd like to understand the arithmetic beforehand, the funnel math guide is a good fifteen-minute read.
